I was told a few years ago that if you have healthy eggs, you can SELL them to people that are in need. That is not me looking for financial compensation, that is what my health care professional had informed us. She also said we could BUY eggs from someone if we can't use our own. I was not trying to cause offense to those receiving said eggs. I was simply asking if there was any way we could donate since I have MRKH, which is a pre-existing condition but is not proven to be hereditary? I am just curious. I am not sure if we have any intention of actually DONATING my eggs, but I am just exploring the possibilities.
I do not want to MAKE EXTRA MONEY off my eggs (or my body or anything like that). I am simply looking to help others out that struggle with infertility, because I know what it is like. My apologies if I have offended anyone out there on the internet for wording it as selling, as I was informed incorrectly that that is what you do.
Also, isn't it considered SELLING when it is sperm? What about some countries paying you for your blood donation? When you are using a surrogate, in the USA, do you not have to PAY the agency and the surrogate during the pregnancy and afterwards? I am thankful it is not legal in Canada to have to pay a surrogate, it must be donated and a willing thing to be done, you cannot pay for ANY PART of the service by LAW.
I can understand that some are upset for the misunderstanding on my part and the misinformation on my doctors'. The doctors told me and my mother it was SELLING, she did not mention the word DONATING. Again, my deepest apologies for this...
END RANT!
